Cookie policy

Last updated 29 October 2026.

This page lists everything webhookwire stores in your browser, and the third parties that may set cookies. It is part of our privacy policy.

Cookies set by webhookwire

None. webhookwire itself does not set any cookies.

Browser storage used by webhookwire

We use your browser's local storage and session storage instead of cookies. This data stays on your device and is not sent to our servers automatically. Inspector keys are only sent when you use the inspector, as proof that you may read that endpoint.

NameTypePurposeHow long
webhookwire.endpointslocalStorageEndpoints you created in this browser: endpoint ID, URL, private inspector key, creation and expiry time (at most 12).Until the endpoint expires or you remove it. Expired entries are removed automatically.
webhookwire.themelocalStorageYour light or dark theme choice, if you picked one.Until you switch back to the system theme.
webhookwire.timeformatlocalStorageWhether the inspector shows times in 12-hour or 24-hour format, if you picked one.Until you change it.
webhookwire.consentlocalStorageYour advertising choice from the consent banner or Cookie settings (yes or no, and when).Until you change it. We ask again if our purposes change.
webhookwire.geosessionStorageYour country code and whether consent is required there, looked up from our own server. Only used when ads are enabled and you have not chosen yet.Until you close the tab.

All of these are essential to the features you use, except webhookwire.geo, which exists only to decide whether to ask for consent before ads load. Older versions of the site used keys starting with tapwire.; they are moved to the new names and deleted automatically.

Advertising cookies (Google)

Advertising is not currently enabled, so no advertising cookies are set. If we enable Google AdSense on informational pages, Google and its partners may set cookies to show and measure ads, and we will ask for consent first where the law requires it.

Google lists its cookies and how it uses them at policies.google.com/technologies/cookies and explains advertising cookies at policies.google.com/technologies/ads. You can turn off personalized ads from Google at google.com/settings/ads, and from many other ad companies at aboutads.info.

Cloudflare

webhookwire is served through Cloudflare. Cloudflare may set strictly necessary security cookies, for example when it checks whether traffic comes from a bot. These are described in Cloudflare's cookie documentation.

Analytics

We do not use analytics tools, analytics cookies or tracking pixels.

Managing storage

You can clear local storage and cookies in your browser's site settings. Clearing webhookwire.endpoints removes your inspector keys, and lost keys cannot be recovered. Your browser's Global Privacy Control signal is honored as an opt-out of personalized advertising.
